A Taste of Strawberries

The idea came out of a Halloween brainstorm session. We wanted to make something eerie, but with enough of a soft, cutesy quality to stand out. We leaned into an unsettling sweetness rather than straight horror. The concept clicked quickly: a first-person film about moving in with a new roommate who seems a little off, until the details start adding up. She goes through roommates unusually fast. Her favorite drink is strawberry juice. By the end, you realize she's been blending her previous roommates and drinking them.
The film is shot entirely in first-person POV, letting the unease build through small domestic details before the full picture comes into focus. The tone walks the line between cozy and wrong — which was exactly what we were going for.
On the production side, this project pushed me to get hands-on with tools I hadn't used before. I learned Adobe Premiere for editing and Adobe Audition for sound, both of which turned out to be as challenging and rewarding as the creative work itself.
